Party Palettes!

2 Dec

The Holiday party season is upon us and you know what that means….pretty party makeup looks! Here are our picks of palettes that will help you achieve amazing holiday looks.

Laura Mercier Eye Book: This was a birthday gift to myself and I plan on using this for creating many of my holiday looks. It comes with a combination of glitter, matte, shimmer, and cream shadows. You could easily go dark and smoky or light and shimmery . I love that the majority of the shadows are in the purple family. Also, I can’t resist the dark navy color.

Too Face Naked Eye Soft and Sexy Eye Shadow Collection: I picked up this palette at Ulta not too long ago. I think it is another perfect palette to create pretty holiday looks.  It’s very versatile and allows you easily to create a smokey or lighter look. It’s full of pink, grey, and taupe colors which are for the most part universally flattering and very festive.

Smashbox Eye Wish Palette: This palette just screams Holiday to me. It’s full of gorgeous shadow shades which make the possibilities endless. If that idea is overwhelming to you no worries, it comes with “Get The Look Cards” that show you step by step on how to achieve certain looks.

Pants: While applying party makeup, it’s only appropriate you listen to party songs. One I find very appropriate is the one that goes, “And party! And party! And party! And pa- and pa- and party!” (The good part starts at the 1:12 mark)

Tarte’s The Jewelry Box: While $52 is kinda pricey, this is a great value for what you’re getting – 32 all new eyeshadow colors, 16 of which are matte, eight lip glosses, a br,onzer, shimmer powder, five eyeliners and a necklace! You can do your whole look with this one palette. With the variety included, you could do a plum eye, burgundy or green smokey eye.

Stila Jewel Eye Shadow Palette: Sparkle sparkle sparkle! These colors are vibrant and scream holiday party to me!

We’ve also heard that wet N wild has some great palettes for the holiday, but they’re not listed its the website. Check your local drugstores and Walmart to see if you can spot them! We found this video by MakeupNMe reviewing all the palette and showing swatches if you want to check them out.
