Review Time!

9 Nov

It’s time for some new reviews! We’ve been slacking in the review department lately, but hopefully with the gifting season coming up, we’ll have more goodies to review for you.

ELF Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths

I bought these wipes for my recent dance performance. I had a quick makeup change and needed something to quickly remove zombie makeup, but yet not be so harsh on my skin.  I absolutely love these wipes! They work so great and are super gentle to the skin. One time during my quick change someone grabbed wipes that belonged to someone else and I could definitely tell a difference.  These are super! I give them five out of five sparkles.

L’Oreal Voluminous Naturale Mascara

I bought this on a whim, and basically because of the gold container that I couldn’t resist. I think the formula of the mascara is fine and it is really good about not clumping. I just wish the wand was a little more substantial. I find the wand weak for any real mascaraing. I give this two out of five sparkles.

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray

I bought this with Pants on our trip to Ulta not too long ago.  I’ve used this several times recently, and it’s hard to tell if it’s really working.  It’s hard for me to determine if my makeup really is staying on longer or not.  I’m going to keep using it and see what my verdict is later. For now I will give this three out of five sparkles.

OPI for Sephora – Looks Like Rain Deer

This color reminds me of OPI’s Alice in Wonderland collection’s Mad as a Hatter, except it’s definitely more durable. It’s thicker, and does have a gold base, but has a gritty feeling because of all the glitter. I was so excited to try it out that I put it on without a top or base coat and it lasted a couple days, even with me picking at it. I only needed to use two coats. While it is very glittery, I don’t feel that it’s too over the top for work. I give this four out five sparkles.

Tarina Tarantino – Sparklicity Eyeshadow Palette

I. Love. This. Palette. Not only do I love it’s appearance, but I love love love the shadows. I’ve been wearing this almost exclusively since I got it. I use the two medium colors on the lid, and then use the light gold (on the top) to put over top of the medium shades. I tried using it as a highlighter, but it had too much of a gold look and felt like too much on my brow. The pink is very glittery, and I’ve been using that as a highlighter instead. And the dark brown I’ve used as a liner. I wanted that brown for a while, and I’m glad I held out because it gave me another reason to grab this palette. I give this five out of five sparkles!

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray – mini size

Red and I both got the mini size of this for $9 at Ulta. I’ve used it a few times, but I’ve been off my makeup game the last week or so with this sore throat/cold/monkey virus, so I’ve not been using it. However, when I did use it, I did notice that my blush seemed to still be on when I got home from work. But like I’ve said before, I have a problem with touching my face, and resting my face on my hands. Maybe I’ll save this to try again the next time I go somewhere sweaty. I’m still undecided. I give this ? out of five sparkles.
