Halloween Costumes

7 Oct

October really is the best time of year. It’s the month of candy and costumes! What’s better than that? And the best thing about dressing up is the makeup! Here are some fun costume ideas to really go crazy with your makeup.

Snooki:

Here’s your chance to do everything you know you aren’t supposed to do with your hair and makeup. Get out your hairspray and get ready to tease! This is also your chance to bathe in some bronzer. We have a feeling that Snooki will be a very popular costume this year.

*If you want something a little more unique for fear of too many Snookis, why not be one of the Jerseylicious girls?

Lady Gaga:

Us Glimmer Shimmer girls love love LOVE Gaga! In fact, Pants dressed up as Gaga last Halloween. Grab yourself a blonde wig, leotard, fishnets, and you have a good Gaga outfit. For makeup, go crazy. Draw on a lightning bolt, put on some fake lashes, the sky really is the limit.

Barbie:

What could be more fun than going blonde and wearing bubble gum pink and purple colors. Stila even has a Barbie line of makeup if you want authentic colors.

Jem:

Are you truly outrageous? Truly, truly, truly outrageous? If so, then Jem is a great costume for you. Pants’ childhood hero is a pink-haired rock star that sang with the Holograms and worked with orphan girls during the day as Jerrica. And who can forget her hottie blue-haired boyfriend Rio? Lots of pink eyeshadow, blue eyeliner and eyebrows and star-shaped earrings make up this fun look. (Kandee Johnson has a great Jem tutorial!)

Ke$ha:

Yes, she’s dirty. Yes, some of her songs are kind of annoying. But you could wear a trash bag and roll around in the dirt to be Kesha. Seriously, you don’t even have to brush your hair or wig to be this hot mess.

Glow in the dark body paint would be a lot of fun, especially if you’re going to the clizzub for Halloween. (Might need a battery operated black light to carry with you.) Remember to draw dollar signs in random places and to smear glitter everywhere. Also, brushing your teeth with a bottle of Jack is helpful.

Harajuku Girl:

Gwen Stefani made them popular, but who doesn’t love a Harajuku girl? You can mix colors and patterns and all kinds of fun accessories.  This costume is from Walmart, but you could easily find fun pieces in your closet or from Gabes, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Goodwill, Forever 21… Whereever! Go crazy with the makeup – no tutorials for this one. Do what you want.

Have any fun ideas for a unique costume this year?
